Seconday Source
SOOOOO I only read one of the sources that I'm going to use. I think that there will always be gaps between the research and what I want to get at. I want to know how to culturally teach but at the same time, I'm tired of the hand holding and excuses. I thinking that the students and teachers I interview will give me the real answers I'm looking for.

sooooooo, the research you want to dive into involves working directly with the students to understand their viewpoints. It sounds like you are ready to apply theory into your research. Perhaps a log like the teacher lady was talking about would be helpful for you. I know that you are in a school now helping teach, perhaps use those students to help with your log and research. This will help fill the space between theory, NCTE, and actuality.
